NZPI offers a class of membership to suit all levels of planning professionals. Your membership opens doors and gives you professional standing.
Student
You are currently studying a NZPI recognised planning degree
Gradate
You have completed a NZPI recognised planning degree, currently working within the planning field and have less than 2 years work experience in planning.
Intermediate
You have completed a NZPI recognised planning degree, have at least 2 years work experience in planning and currently working within the planning field.
Full
You have completed a NZPI recognised planning degree and have at least 3 years work experience in planning(inc. at least 2 year NZ experience) or you do not have a NZPI recognised degree but have at least 7 years work experience in planning (inc. at least 2 year NZ experience)

Associates
Open to anyone who has a genuine desire to advance the purpose of planning but does not have a NZPI recognised planning degree.
